Meltem Murray is an artist who uses photography to highlight and raise awareness about social issues. Known for her projects benefiting orphaned children, such as "13 Years 13 TL" and "Play Everywhere," Murray also collaborates with socialist feminist collectives on activist photo projects like "Staying Here Means Staying Ignorant" and "Women Who Birth with the Earth."
Her work aims to support social change and justice, and she has exhibited her art in many countries. From 1999 to 2009, Murray served as an executive in the defense sector of the Turkish Harb-İş Union, an experience that deeply informs her compelling and impactful narratives.
